Distributing Flags for Memorial Day

Today I helped volunteer with the local AMVETS post and helped distribute flags to grave sites of those who have served in the military. With Memorial Day coming up on Monday, I was very happy that I could help out with this as veterans and the military are such a big part of my life. With some help from other volunteers, we placed over 450 flags to those men and women who served. I feel that veterans are such important people and always put themselves first before anyone else so anytime I can help a veteran cause, I volunteer with my whole heart.

This is my first appearance as Miss American Coronet and I loved being able to share with others around my community what this program is about and share my love for volunteering. I will be sharing more for Memorial Day as it comes, but I am so thankful I was able to help out and volunteer with this on this beautiful Northern Michigan day!

Again, I feel so blessed and am so excited to serve as your Miss American Coronet!! ?

Hi! My name is Olivia Suzanna Lein and I am your Miss Michigan American Coronet! I am the 22 year old daughter of David and Pamela Lein and I have one older brother, Joshua. I have lived in the wonderful state of Michigan my whole life and currently reside in Elk Rapids, a tiny village about 20 minutes north of Traverse City. I enjoy being outside in the summertime whether that is walking, biking or swimming. I have two dogs and two cats, whom I love dearly. I am very involved in my church and love volunteering to sing in the praise band on Sunday’s or help with Vacation Bible School. Doing community service is one of my passions and I love to help with our local Lion’s Club, Rotary, AMVETS and festivals around where I live. I currently attend Northwestern Michigan College in Traverse City and will graduate with my associates in science at the end of the summer. I am studying to be a Physician Assistant as I love healthcare and making people feel and be better. My goal with this title is to help, volunteer and serve to the best of my ability to several different causes around the state of Michigan and I’m excited to spread the word about this wonderful pageant organization!

    What a wonderful idea! I agree, it’s important to honor our veterans in anyway that we can. It’s important to help our veterans feel valued and appreciated.
