Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library Fundraiser

As part of the #MissAmericanCoronet weekly service challenge, I’m hosting a fundraiser for Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library for “Read Across America Week”. Details can be found on my Facebook page in a pinned post.

According to the Lexington, KY public library, “Early literacy activities build rich language skills: vocabulary, self-expression, and understanding (comprehension). These skills help children make sense of printed words when they start reading.”
Reading to children from an early age helps them become better readers and by putting books in the hands of young children, they will have a better opportunity for literacy when they are older. Your $25 donation can provide a year’s worth of books to a child under the age of 5.
