Happy Earth Day!

April 22nd, 2020 marks the 50th anniversary of Earth day, a day dedicated to celebrating and protecting our beautiful and amazing planet. Usually on this day businesses, schools, and communities all come together to commemorate our Mother Earth and to bring attention to some of our many environmental issues and needs. This year its different. Due to Covid-19 we cannot all come together physically but we can spiritually, mentally, and emotionally. Put down those phones and remote controllers. Go outside and take a walk or a bike ride. Take a bag with you and pick up the trash that harms our environment. Just because we can’t make a difference in groups doesn’t mean we can’t make a difference at all. Earth day was created in response to the environmental crisis  of oil spills, pollution, and much more. Last year’s theme was “Protect Our Species” and it aimed to raise awareness about the growing list of endangered species and how we can save them from extinction. This year for Earth Day 2020 the them is “Climate Action”. Climate change represents the biggest challenge to the future of Humanity and the life-support systems that make our world habitable says earthday.org. We are not alone. No matter where we are around the world we still stand strong as one. Lets raise awareness today!
