Remembering Those on Memorial Day

While it’s nice to spend this Memorial Day weekend boating, camping or cooking out around campfires, I always spend everyday, Memorial Day especially, thinking about all of those who have served and made the ultimate sacrifice for all of us in America. We have the freedoms and are allowed to do certain things because of these brave men and women risking their lives for us. Our military are the most bravest and influential people that I know and have gone through so much. Anytime that I can and am able to do anything for veterans and thank them in anyway, I always do because it is the least I can do for the people who have done so much for us.

The black and white picture is one of when my grandfather was in the army. He told me so many stories about his experience in WW11 and when he marched across France, fighting for us back home. Even though it was a hard time for those men, including my grandpa, I found it so amazing that these people would put their lives on the line for America. I can’t imagine being so far away from my family, especially in a foreign place, not knowing whether they would get to see them again.

I am forever grateful for my grandpa and for all the other men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. They are such important and amazing people for all they do and did. Whenever you get the chance, please take the time to thank and remember all of those who have fought and are fighting. From myself to everyone who has fought and still fighting, thank you all and I am so grateful for everything you have done for me and our country!
