Running the roads

Hello again ACP family! January has certainly left me exhausted from all the travel to Orlando then to Katy, TX, when brought me home (briefly) to Baton Rouge – ONLY to make a double trip to San Antonio in one week!

Jan 14-15: Texas USA National Miss, Katy, TX

I was excited to be with one of my girls, Ayssa, as she competed for the Texas title to advance to nationals in July. We had a great weekend teaching others about helping foster children and playing dress-up! Ayssa was excited to win UNM Miss Lone Star State Preteen and we cannot wait until we head to Hollywood, FL, this summer!

Jan 28-29: Texas USA Ambassador, San Antonio, TX

After a short breather at home back in LA, I hit the road again for San Antonio to be with Chelsea. We loved learning from all the other delegates about their platforms and sharing Chelsea’s as well. USAA offers a SLICC category at their nationals which focuses solely on volunteerism. Chelsea won the Jr Teen Texas title and will advance to nationals this summer in Tampa!

Feb 4: Go Red for Women’s Heart Health Day

How exciting was it to dress in one of my fav colors: RED! We got the chance to raise awareness about heart health, opt for healthy snacks, and get up and stay active! February is Heart Health month so what better way than to kick things off with GOING RED!

Feb 4-6: Texas Regency International, San Antonio, TX

Another trip to San An brought me to TX Regency with FOUR of my girls plus two more of my girls who are visiting queens from Oklahoma, one of mine from UNM, and the reigning Jr Miss International titleholder, Larissa – WHO also won a pageant the day before! We loved staying in a haunted hotel and playing dress-up for two days!

Aria won 1RU in the tiny division plus photogenic
Scarlett WON Petite Miss
Alex won 2RU in the little miss division
Ramsey won 1RU in the Jr Teen division
Larissa, reigning 2021 RIO Jr Miss International Queen, won the inaugural Jr Miss Weslaco the day before
Ayssa, Patti, & Pinkie were all there as visiting queens and helping out!

Finally, I am home now and cannot wait for the rest of February! It’s Mardi Gras season here in Louisiana and we have tons of parades, balls, and parties to attend! Stay tuned for more on that next time!

Thanks for reading!
