Stray Animal Volunteering
Began a new volunteer job! I go to the Fort Leavenworth Stray Facility once per week to help with the kitties looking for homes. Such nice babies, I have fun playing with them after I clean boxes, sweep up, check food and water, and do laundry and other things as necessary. Sometimes I walk the doggies in another building but my allergies to dogs usually let the other volunteer handle them.
One feral kitty came in last week with a broken leg, it is now recovering after amputation, and I hope to see him next time to begin getting him socialized.
