What Makes a Queen?

What makes a Queen? Is it the crown and sash? Is it the awards? No.. far from it.. It’s in the confidence of how she carries herself, the way she speaks to others, the help she gives, the strength to weather all sorts of situations and storms.  A Queen is full of integrity, grace, and poise. When a Queen is faced with a problem, she doesn’t cower in the corner or whine, she faces it head on and tried to solve it or make it better.  My mom said to me that you can tell a lot about a person the way they treat animals, children and those in the service industry.  You can tell a Queen just by that alone, even is she doesn’t have a crown.

Our portfolios are submitted to the judges and the judging has begun.. however, this isn’t the end.. Whether you are a National Queen, a current state Queen, a former state Queen or a future state Queen, or even deciding to move on after this experience, we are ALL QUEENS.. and we can continue to champion our various causes. It is within each of us to make this world a better place.

Best of luck to all of my Queens.. can’t wait to see what the future holds..
